Conferences | Meetings

Ivory Tree has included a dedicated conference room among its facilities, please enquire into the availability of conference room equipment before concluding your conference planning. Alongside is a thumbnail of a proposed seating layout. This specific plan indicates a class room type layout and makes provision for 70 delegates. In our opinion, however, 80 delegates seated in this configuration would be the maximum possible.

If the idea of another routine game lodge experience raises little more than a sigh, gets you running to the doctor for a sick note, meeting with the reserve bank for assistance with payment, and where some lazy lodge manager tells you what you can't do, then this is just the answer for you.

Tailor-made Conservation Conferences and Incentives

During conferences and Incentives at our lodges we are frequently approached by groups enquiring about participation in conservation exercises. This idea prompted us to integrate conservation with the guest experience. In short we are now able to involve guests in the process of routine data gathering to determine condition and genetic mapping amongst other things.

Conference requirements frequently conflict with the routine private game lodge programme, it has therefore become necessary for us to tailor make each experience to suit the requirements of a particular conference or incentive. This often results in game drives being amended or cancelled to permit adequate session time. For this reason we would welcome the opportunity of presenting a tailor-made itinerary where the client is not required to pay for activities not participated in.

These programmes are available at both Ivory Tree and Kapama, and the range of camps and capacity will ensure that your next conference or incentive provides the best experience yet.

The Safari Experience

Most of our guests are at Ivory Tree for the thrill of the open vehicle safari. Ivory Tree uses custom built 10 seater open game viewers which permit maximum all around visibility. The park is home to a wide variety of general game including the Big 5, in addition both species of rhino occur, namely black and white, and cheetah and wild dog.

Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Your guide will spend time with you at dinners as well and is always around to ensure that you remain comfortable during your stay with us.

Big 5 Game Drives

Get the real feel for the African bushveld by going on a morning or evening game drive. Driving in an open safari vehicle, along with a qualified guide – experience the Big 5 territory of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

Please Note: No children under the age of 6 allowed on game drives

Archery

Mix a little bit of adventure with history with an ancient bushveld tradition; archery – with a modern influence of course. You will receive a short safety briefing, and your guide shares a tale about the San hunters before you grab this opportunity to learn the technique of a challenging art form.

Air Gun Shooting

Enjoy action satisfaction with this adventure-filled activity. Take aim and practice your pellet gun aiming skills with a fixed target! You will receive a safety briefing and demonstration from an experienced guide to ensure you a thrilling experience in the safest possible way.

Interactive drumming

Get into the vibe of your Ivory Tree experience and get involved in some interactive drumming. Drumming has always been an important facet in African culture as a form of expression and communication. A minimum of five and a maximum of 120 guests can be accommodated in this interactive drum circle. All ages welcome!

• For all bookings made within 30 days of travel
• Full payment Is required within 48 hours of your booking. This payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card (Master/Visa).
• For all bookings made more than 30 days of travel
• A 50% deposit Is required within 48 hours of your booking and the balance 30 days prior to arrival. This payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card (Master/Visa).

Children

Children between the ages of 6 and 12 are permitted on safari at the sole discretion of the manager or guide.
Children under the age of 6 are not permitted on game drives.
Baby-sitting facilities available at R275 per hour (maximum 2 children)
Sole use vehicle is available to facilitate families at an additional cost of R6 500  from 01 may 2026 R 7 000 per vehicle per game drive.

Day Use Rooms
Strictly on request and are dependent on availability of room(s) at a rate of 50% off single public tariff and rooms are only available between 11h00 and 17h00. Any rooms required after 17h00 will be treated as a full additional night and the normal contracted rate attached will apply.

All treatments are subject to therapist availability. Prices are subject to change without notice and include VAT.
CONSULTATION:
Inform your therapist of any medical conditions, allergies, intolerances, or needs before your treatment. Note that some treatments are not suitable during the first trimester of pregnancy.
SAFETY REGULATIONS:
For your safety, we recommend not wearing any jewelry and keeping valuables (including cell phones) in your locker. Keep your locker key with you at all times.
PAYMENT:
Please sign your treatment/s to your room account for payment. We do not accept cash, credit cards, or debit cards.
PRODUCT REFUND POLICY:
Unopened and unused products can be returned within 48 hours of purchase. A refund will be provided as an Amani Spas gift voucher of the original purchase value.
AGE RESTRICTION:
Guests 16 years and older are welcome. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
Cancellations within 8 hours or less of the appointment time will incur a 50% fee. "No-show" appointments will be charged the full cost. Groups of 5 or more require at least one week's notice for cancellation, or the full value of the group booking will be charged.

How to get to Ivory Tree Game Lodge

From Johannesburg

• Leave Johannesburg driving past Lanseria Airport towards Hartebeespoort Dam (suggested routes either William Nicol or Malibongwe roadways) At the T-junction of Broederstroom (fruit stall in front of you ) turn left
• At 4 way stop proceed straight (takes you past Chameleon Village ) and once again follow Sun City signs taking you onto the N4.
• Once on the N4 Toll road, take the 1st off ramp for Pilanesberg/Sun City, exit number 225.
• Turn right over the Highway continuing as though traveling to Sun City (+/- 80km).
• At the 4th 4-way stop (with a Golden Era sign off to the right), turn right to “Northam” on the R510. Here you will see the first of many Ivory Tree road signs.
• Continue along until you pass an industrial area on your left, soon after turn left to Mogwase and Pilanesberg.
• At second stop street with a Caltex garage on the corner turn right to Pilanesberg, Manyane & Bakgatla Gates.
• Continue until you hit a T-Junction.
• Turn left to Bakgatla Gate and George Stegman Hospital.
• Continue along this road which takes you to our driveway which is a huge thatched yellow entrance, taking the right hand entrance to the lodge.

From Pretoria

• Leave Pretoria take church street towards Attredgeville towards  Hartebeespoort Dam
• At the four ways stop turn right towards Hartebeespoort dam.
• Drive through the tunnel at Hartebeespoort dam.
• At 4 way stop proceed straight (takes you past Chameleon Village ) and once again follow Sun City signs taking you onto the N4.
